"The South Will Rise Again"

It's been a while, but time to read 'As I lay Dying' by Faulkner, again - I studied this at school, but strangely come across very few copies of this American Classic. Set in Yoknapatawpha County, "a Mississippi state of mind as well mapped mentally by its creator as Tolkien’s Middle-earth, but with even weirder language" (Taken from a rather scathing review of James Franco's film adaptation). Faulkners masterpiece is one of my all time favourites, but then when it comes to American literature I prefer Faulkner to Steinbeck, or Hemingway, any time.
